Looking up from his book, some sort of french fantasy novel, stuffed with long words, he spotted a girl with...Well, beautifully long blue hair. Pushing his own short hair out of his eyes, he recognized her from one of his classes. She had maths now, right? Wait, he had maths too. Oh well, the batty old women was only going to teach them about fractions, or percentages...What were they doing again? Pushing the thought out of his mind, as the mop of blue hair suddenly came flying backwards, and she returned to her book.
Smiling, he couldn't help but note on the fact that she was shorter than him. That, or she had a short torso and very long legs. Coughing, he was about to say something when she put her hair in a bun, looking ever so slightly irritated, and he faltered, and left it at a cough.
Once more, trying to take contact, she leaned back in her chair, and he saw her face. My...She really was pretty from this angle. She looked like a feline of some sort. Wonderful. You can watch her all day, you never get bored. This time, standing up, he appeared infront of her, putting his book down opposite her, it made a slight 'slam'. "Oi. Aren't you meant to be in class?" He had a slightly teasing voice, but his face was curved into a gentle smile, and his eyes reflected the little kid inside of him.
Maybe he was just a tall elementary school kid at heart. Anyway, what he had said was hypocritical, seeing as he was meant to be there too. Nevermind, he was top in the class at Maths, he could miss one lesson to get to know this girl.

Grinning broadly, he sat himself down, and tried to see what she was reading. "Maths. I don't need maths. Who needs to know that the square root of 116 is if your not going to have anything to do with it in the future, eh?" Almost tripping up some young libarian who walked past by stretching his legs out suddenly, he scratched the back of his head and smiled foolishly as an apology, before returning to watch her. Wait, was her eye...? It couldn't...
Her eye was twitching, and he had to try not to burst out in laughter. She could keep people amused for hours on end just by being herself. And then ka-boom. Head to the table, she announced she was tired. Well, big shocker there. She lifted her head, and he was slightly taken aback. She looked quite pretty with her hair in disarray. "Well...For starters, maybe you could tell me your name, and..."
There she went again, with her odd expresion. As if she was dizzy. He couldn't hold it back anymore. The corners of his mouth twitched dangerously, then his shoulders started shaking. A 'fu...' sound trickde out of his mind, a girlish giggle, and he lifted a hand to his eyes, wiping an imaginary tear away.
"God...You make the funniest faces! I could watch you all day and never get bored! You look so irritated, and then...Ditzy and..." He bent his head down, clutching his stomach, shoulders shaking violently. "And you just...And..." One more little 'Fuu...' sound trickled out of his mouth, and people started staring at him oddly. You couldn't blame them though. At first glance it probably looked like two middle school kids on a first date, bunking off from school. Or two middle school girls studying together. Most presumably the latter.

Still chuckling, real tears brought to his eyes, he glanced up, only to see a finger poke him. Over dramatically he put a hand to it, and acted as if she had just socked him instead. "Of course I'm a bother. However, I know for a fact that you're only saying that becuase actually you find me very attractive." Giving her his most teasing grin, he quietened down, and met her gaze, his large eyes filled with pure intrest, and then smiled once more.
"I wouldn't say those are faults...More quirks...They're really cute. And you're called Haruka? What a cute name!" He thought for maybe a second, or less, before declaring. "Ruka-Chan!" And then slapping his forehead. "I know, I know, I need to shush...But I feel happy when I'm with Ruka-Chan!"
Looking at her eyes, green meeting brown, he smiled at her. For once it wasn't a girlish or foolish smile, nor was it a smirk. It almost made him look like a boy, a soft, chuckling smile. "You're eyes are a nice colour, Ruka-Chan!" Alas, the smile was replaced with his foolish, kiddy like grin.
"B-but...Maybe Ruka-Chan doesn't like being called Ruka-Chan..." He felt a bit sad now. What if he had hurt her? Maybe she was really irritated with him? Or...Maybe she was just trying to ignore him, and forget about him...Like his mother...

She was mad she was mad she was mad she was-
"Are you all right? Honestly, if I was peeved 'bout something, I would've said something.
"Really? So your not irritated with me? Your not going to ignore me? Not going to try to forget me, right?" The worry was back, and then he chuckled at himself. "I'm sorry. You must think I'm really wierd. I guess I am." Once again, he looked his age, but this time not with a smile, but with a few gestures. A sigh, a glance to the heavens, a quick look around, and then a kind, slightly worn out smile, as if he was a wound up toy, and his battery was low.
A robot boy. Mechanical toy.
Great, he was thinking far too much about this.
"Technically, I worry over everything, but if there's nothing to worry about..." Biting his lip, he then waved his hand, as if waving his troubles away. "I'm sorry...You seem tired. It's my fault, isn't it? I usually wear out people...You'll have to forgive me...Please?" Now he looked like a girl again. He was a hypocrite...He had told Haruka her expressions changed a lot, what about him? He went from ten to seventeen, to nine, to a baby kid.

"Friends? Friends? FRIENDS?" He leant over and grabbed her hands, his eyes twinkling. "Yosh! I will be your friend!" The poor girl had no idea what she had just forced upon herself. Sitting hurridly down as he was bieng stared at, he let her finish.
"I'm really not boring? It's the tea's fault?" Twiddling his fingers, he looked up, and smiled. "Of course." Taking on of her hands again, he continued, his girly smile still on his face. "I'm Tonya Chase! I'm French, by the way!" He shook her hand vigourously, and then looked down at her cup. "Tea, eh?"
He sat down, and returned to his book, and let out a giggle. Looking up, he smiled, and then said. "Now that we're friends, do you want to go get something to eat in a little while? There's about half an hour before this lesson ends, and then there's art, I think. Or was it English?"
